The 28-year old American Grand Prix rider Noel Williams has fractured her arm in a riding acident at White Fences in Loxahatchee, Florida, on 20 April 2017.

Williams was thrown off a frolicky younsgter and had to be airlifted by helicopter to St. Mary's Hospital, where she was operated on for a broken arm. Noel sustained no head injuries as she wore her helmet.

"Noel is most upset that she can't ride with Jo Hinneman this weekend and won't be able to show Helen Markoglu's horse," said Noel's mom Roberta Williams, adding to Eurodressage that "she just got out of surgery for the broken arm and (the) orthopedic surgeon is very happy."

Noel is daughter to George and Roberta Williams. Her father George is president of the United States Dressage Federation and a member of the FEI Dressage Committee. Noel now works as a professional dressage rider and trains with her parents.

Noel made her show debut on Taylor as an 8-year old in 1996. In 2005 she became the U.S. Junior Riders Champion on Pik L. She won team silver on Woody Allen at the 2007 North American Young Riders Championships. In 2015 she showed Sir Velo at two internationals in Wellington.
