The 4-year old Jatilinda and the 5-year old Incredible became the winners of the 2018 Horsefood Dressage Talent competition, of which the finals were held in Berkel-Enschot, The Netherlands, on 2 April 2018.

Over the years this talent scouting competition has developed from a one day regional event for 4-year olds into a well attended circuit for 4 and 5-year olds with three qualifiers (this year in Aalsmeer, Tolbert and Berkel Enschot) and a big finals. This Dressage Talent competition is one of numerous dressage horse talent scouting show, which have been popping up all over The Netherlands in the past few years.

The finals consist of a first round in which the combination is being assessed by a judging panel of three. The three top scoring horses are test ridden by a guest judge rider, who was Emmelie Scholtens this year.

In the 4-year old division the title went to Vai Bruntink aboard the black KWPN mare Jatilinda (by All at Once x Negro). She scored  a total of 176.2 points after having a received a 9 for rideability and potential from Scholtens. Jatilinda is the 2017 KWPN Mare Champion and is now beginning to prove her quality as a sport horse. Bruntink also scored the second placce aboard Jappeloup (by All at Once x Lord Leatherdale), who got a total of 172.8 points and a 9 from the test rider. Theo Hanzon and JFK (by Forty x Zhivago) finished third with 170.8 points after receiving an 8.8 from Scholtens.

"What a beautiful day and I'm so proud of these amazing horses, which are both bred and owned by Stal 104 (Willeke Bos)," said Bruntink at the end of the day.

In the 5-year old division Madelone Magermans-Eekhof steered her bay KWPN bred Incredible (by Charmeur x Gribaldi) to victory with 175.6 points. The pair received the highest score of the day from the Scholtens with an 9.5 for rideability and potential. Marije Tromp and Ignado-Rijk (by Dream Boy x Tolando) followed in the distace with 161.8 points after receiving 8.0 from Scholtens. This duo had Paulien Kouwenhoven on Intenz (by Bordeaux x Hotline) right behind her with 161.3 points and another 8.0 from Scholtens.
