The 4-year old Glamour Rock BHI, the 5-year old Kizashi, and the 6-year old Charlie Sheen became the winners of the 2019 Australian Young Pony Championships held at Dressage & Show Jumping with the Stars in Werribee, Australia, on 21 - 24 March 2019.
Performance Sales International has been the year-long sponsor of the Australian Young Horse Championships at Dressage with the Stars and was represented by François Kasselmann on the scene.
The Pony Championships have gained growing attraction from pony breeders, owners and rider over the year and has become a fixed part of the event at Werribee Park. The Pony Championships consists of two rounds with the first being a warm up, an intermediairy consolation round followed by an official second, finals round of which the ranking counts for the medals.
Glamour Rock BHI, 4-YO Champion
In the 4-year old division Sydney Evans and Glamour Rock BHI (by Golden Rock x Fidertanz) were on strong form, twice besting the field. They won the warm up round with 86.00% and went on to claim the title with 79.000%. The palomino is bred by Brockhurst Stud. Evans also grabbed the silver in the same division aboard EPH California (Trapalanda Dai Wynne x Avonvalley Cardiff Arms) on 77.80%. Clair Arnold and Roseglen Stolen Dance (by Dreidimensional AT x Nemax) got bronze with 76.800%.
"Glamour Rock BHI scored an 8.9 for trot, 9.3 for canter and 9 for submission," said a proud Evans. "I couldn’t have been more proud with Rocket who really gave it his all! An exciting horse for the future."
Kizashi, 5-YO Champion
"I have had an awesome first time experience at PSI Dressage & Jumping with the Stars with a super team of horses," Cheeseman took to Facebook. "Super couple of days, an awesome run event with a super atmosphere and friendly people."
