German young rider Henri Schamburg has leased Sarah Runge's Grand Prix horse Dark Dynamic.

Dark Dynamic is a 17-year old Hanoverian gelding by Don Vino x Hohenstein x Freiherr. He is bred by Georg Kok.

Nadine Capellmann's Future Hope

Dark Dynamic was discovered as a 2-year old by the Meppen based Christoph Dust, who competed him from young horse classes up to Developing PSG horse level.

In 2012 Capellmann spotted the black gelding in Nurnberger Burgpokal qualifier in Lingen and acquired the horse as her future Grand Prix horse and second iron in the fire alongside Girasol.

Capellmann and Dark Dynamic made their show debut at a regional show in Gelsenkirchen in September 2012 at small tour level. In January 2013 they moved to Grand Prix level and in September 2013 they made their international show debut at the CDI Paris, where they placed fifth in the Grand Prix (69.234%). The pair has competed at CDI's in Hagen, Munich, Cappeln, Oldenburg, Hamburg, Maastricht and Lier, alongside some national shows. Their last CDI and show together was in September 2016 at the CDI Donaueschingen, where they were 14th in the Grand Prix with 66.280%.

In September 2016, Capellmann sold Dark Dynamic to German Under 25 rider Sarah Runge,.

The new pair made its international show debut at the 2017 CDI Nieuw en St. Joosland, but that was their only CDI that year. They mainly focused on competing in the national Under 25 classes in Germany. Runge also switched trainers, from Claudia Haller to Johann Hinnemann that year.

In 2018 she joined her new coach in California and competed at the CDI's in Temecula and Del Mar. The 2018 CDI Del Mar was her last CDI on Dark Dynamic. She showed him one more time in July 2019 at a local show at Wintermühle in Neu-Anspach.

Runge has put her competition career on the back burner since then, but is still actively riding at home.

Young Riders' Horse for Schamburg

The 18-year old Henri Schamburg has leased Dark Dynamic from Runge as his Young Riders' horse and made his first (semi) public appearance on him at a Young Riders team training session held in Waredorf on 17 June 2020.

Schamburg began his international career as a junior rider in 2015 on Ronaldinho (by Rohdiamant x Warkant). In 2016 his family purchased the now 14-year old Oldenburg gelding Ducati K (by Damon Hill x Rosenkavalier). Under Anna Lisa Theile, Ducati K won team gold and placed individually fourth at the 2016 European Young Riders Championships. He also won bronze at the 2016 German Young Riders Championships.

Schamburg and Ducati K have competed at only one CDI so far, the 2018 CDI-J Hagen. The rider has been focusing mainly on national level competitions.

Dark Dynamic joined Henri in May 2020.

"I’m super happy," a thrilled owner Sarah Runge told Eurodressage about the lease of her Grand Prix horse to the Schamburg family. "Henri is so lovely with the horses!"
