
The 5-year old Destello and the 6-year old Amelio were the winners of the Bundeschampionate qualification classes held at the regional show at Johann Hinnemann's Krusterhof in Voerde, Germany, on 9 July 2020.
Thirteen combinations competed in the L-level dressage horse test for 5-year olds and the class was won by Beatrice Buchwald aboard the Oldenburg stallion Destello (by Dimaggio x Furst Fugger). The pair got 8.5 for walk and canter, 9 for trot, 7.5 for submission and 8.5 for general impression to finish first with 8.4. Home rider Hannah Erbe and the Hanoverian stallion Libero (by Livaldon x Worldly) were the runners-up with 8.3 points. The liver chestnut earned 8 for walk, 8.5 for trot and canter, 8 for submission and 8.5 for general impression. Annika Korte and the Hanoverian stallion Furst Samarant (by For Romance x Furst Nymphenburg) were third with 8.0, tying with Lena Backes on the Hanoverian mare Millenniums Little Lady (by Millennium x Rubinstein).
In the 6-year old division, home rider Helen Erbe topped theboard on the Westfalian stallion Amelio (by Abercrombie x Florenciano) with an 8.2 score. The bay stallion received 7.5 for walk, 8.5 for trot and canter, 8 for submission and 8.5 for general impression. Spanish Borja Carrascosa tied in second with Australian Warwick McLean on a total score of 8.1. Carrascosa rode the Oldenburg gelding Dirham (by Danciano x Sandro Hit) and earned 7.5 for walk, 8 for trot, 8.5 for canter, 8 for submission and 8.5 for general impression. McLean and the Oldenburg gelding F-Type (by Franziskus x Chico's Boy) posted 8.5 for walk, and 8 for trot and canter, submission and general impression.
