Three new faces have joined the technical staff at the headquarters of the Oldenburg Breed Society in Vechta, Germany.

At a board meeting in July the new positions were ratified.

Bernhard Thoben will succeed Wolfgang Schulz-Schleppinghoff as breeding director. This news was already made public in the spring and on 1 April Thoben took over the operational activities, but at the most recent board meeting his position in the number one seat of the company has been confirmed. Thoben began working in Vechta in July 2019, initially on the stallion licensing committee, but he was also involved in foal registration and mare grading.

Two new members have been elected on the licensing committee: dressage rider and trainer Oliver Oelrich and dressage trainer and judge Ute von Platen.

Vechta's long-time auctioneer and stallion licensing committee member Uwe Heckmann has been named Honorary Member.
