Pegasus BSW (by Jazz)

The EDS-Prinsenstad online foal auction kicks off on Saturday, August 29th. Today, the entire foal collection will be presented on the auction website. The collection includes 64 talented dressage foals and two interesting embryos.

A Broad Collection

Each year, the EDS team evaluates prospective auction foals on conformation and movement on designated selection days; and this year was no different. The team also considers a foal’s bloodlines in the selection process. As a result, a broad collection of talented foals is assembled. One remarkable sire in this year's auction is the young KWPN stallion Livius, who produced several talents in the collection. With his offspring Pretty Perfect, Primadonna and Piretti Xagovia – all very good movers – the KWPN stallion boasts a good first crop of foals.

Other remarkable foals by young stallions feature the powerful mover Pardoux (s. Fürst Toto), the handsome colt Poseidon (s. Koning) and the elegant filly Prima Donna (s. Kevin). Offspring by Lord Europe, Liverpool TC, Lennox U.S., Kjento, Le Formidable, Daily Diamond and Jameson RS2 are also included in the collection.

Perhaps the Last Chance

In addition to foals by young stallions, the collection offers offspring by proven leading sires including Vivaldi, Desperado, Dream Boy, Blue Hors Zack, For Romance I and Jazz. Among their offspring, Pegasus BSW is extra special as he may be the last son of the world-famous stallion Jazz. His status, plus the renowned dam-line of the celebrated top breeding value mare Annabel, makes him a very interesting foal to raise.

The same is true of the colt Ultron van het Hulsterhof (s. Weltmeyer). He is likely among the last opportunities to acquire a direct son of the fantastic breeding stallion Weltmeyer.

Unique: Two Embryos to be Auctioned!

Prima Donna
Unique to the EDS-Prinsenstad online foal auction are two embryos available for bid. The first embryo is from the mare Hubertje (Jazz x Contango) and the young, talented stallion Lord Europe. Hubertje is a full-sister to the KWPN stallion Tango, who is also Grand Prix classified. An Elite, Sport mare, Hubertje convinced in the National Mare Inspection championship, prior to which she earned a 9 for her trot at the studbook inspection.

The second embryo is even more interesting. It is from the mare Renate-Utopia (Jazz x Ulft) – who is celebrated as the dam of the preferent stallion Vivaldi – and the champion stallion Jameson RS2. In addition to Vivaldi, Renate-Utopia's offspring include the mares Wiona-Utopia and Zenzi-Utopia, both of whom carry the preferent predicate. Jameson RS2 requires little explanation: the young stallion won the Champion title at the KWPN Stallion Show in Den Bosch; and since then, he has added numerous victories to his now impressive list of achievements.
