From 20 to 24 October 2020, the Niedersachsenhalle in Verden, Germany, will once again be dedicated to young Hanoverian and Rhinelander bred stallions.
76 excellent representatives of the 2018 crop are eagerly awaiting the Verden licensing and stallion sales. The highly talented licensing candidates are already presented on the Internet with informative videos and photos.
Innovations
Many things will be different from previous years: For the first time, the licensing and stallion sales for Hanoverian and Rhinelander stallions will be separated into a jumping and a dressage part.
Two discipline-specific commissions with top-class and recognised experts, will decide on the licensing judgments. Due to the official regulations currently in force, there will be days for dressage and jumping.
The number of spectators in the Niedersachsenhalle will be very limited.
"The motivation of the breeders of the Hannoveraner Verband (HV) to send their best colts to the main licensing in Verden is unwavering. Their commitment and enthusiasm defy the confusing times. The licensing commissions for dressage and jumping have succeeded in putting together a highly interesting collection of colts. New things join the tried and tested. This makes reading the pedigrees enjoyable and studying the dam lines informative," said HV Breeding Director Ulrich Hahne.
Packed Programme
The 29 jumping stallions will start on Tuesday, October 20th, with the presentation on hard surface and the first free jumping. On Thursday, 22 October after free running and the second free jumping, the licensing decisions will be made and the best two and a half year olds will be awarded the title premium stallion.
After a small show programme, which will focus on the magnificent honouring of the "Hannoveraner Stallion of the Year", the excitement will focus on the sale of the jumping stallions.
Dressage Colts
The 47 young stallions with dressage genes will move into their boxes at the Niedersachsenhalle on Wednesday 21 October. After the free jumping, their big day will come on Friday 23 October, when they will be presented in the triangle. The lunging in the afternoon will be a much-noticed event.
On Saturday 24 October, the atmosphere in the Niedersachsenhalle will be thrilling after the licensing and award ceremony and a show programme, the highlight of which will be the presentation of the "Hannoveraner Mare of the Year".
At the auction of the dressage stallions, not only the premium stallions will create excitement among exhibitors and buyers.
Limited Audience, Live Stream
Everyone can join in the excitement and be carried away: The Verden licensing and stallion sales will be broadcast live on the Internet.
