
Dutch stallion owner Gert-Jan van Olst has sold his 12-year old KWPN licensed stallion Diëgo to Portugal. "Wequador Stables" acquired the Grand Prix level trained horse alongside the 3-year old NRPS licensed stallion Glenn.
Wequador stables is run by the Dutch Edit van Wanrooij. The ride on Diego has been allocated to Briana Vintila, who is trained by Luis Miguel Santos. They are based at Coudelaria Mascarenhas Cardoso
Diego is a 2008 born KWPN stallion by Negro out of Ballerina II (by Don Gregory x Rubinstein). He is bred by M. van Berkmortel.
The black stallion was licensed with the KWPN society in 2011 and did the 2011 KWPN spring stallion performance test, finishing on a score of 79.5 points.
Under Severo Jurado Lopez the black stallion became the reserve champion in the 2012 Pavo Cup Finals, behind Desperado. At the 2013 Pavo Cup Finals the pair stranded in 12th place In 2014 Diederik van Silfhout briefly got the ride on the stallion.
Vintila's second acquisition at Van Olst Horses in is the 3-year old KWPN bred stallion Glenn (by George Clooney x Everdale x Don Gregory), bred by J. Verboon. In the spring of 2020 Glenn was NRPS licensed.
Briana tried out her new horses over two months ago, and the stallions arrived in Portugal yesterday.
