The highly decorated German dressage pony, Double Diamond AK, has found a new rider in the 13-year old German Mai Stößel.
Double Diamond AK is a 7-year old German Riding Pony stallion by Dreidimensional AT out of Daria en Verano (by FS Don't Worry x Langer x Brillant).
The chestnut is bred by Ulrike Tischer and owned by Janna Alpers. He was licensed at the 2015 Hessian Stallion Licensing in Alsfeld and fulfilled his HLP requirements through sport.
He was first competed by Julia Coldweg in riding pony tests in 2016 and became the winners of the Bundeschampionate for 3-year old pony stallions. In 2017 junior rider Rebecca Horstmann climbed aboard, and briefly alternated by Lena Bücker. They missed out on the 2017 but in 2018 Bücker rode the Bundeschampionate and placed 24th in the preliminary round, not making it to the Finals..
In 2019 it was Antonia Busch-Kuffner's turn on the stallion and she recaptured the Bundeschampion title, this time in the 6-year old division. Antonia kept training him through 2020, but only recently a new rider was allocated.
Equitaris.de reported that Double Diamond AK has now moved to Wolfskehlen in the Frankfurt area as a new ride for Mai Stößel.
Stößel has been competing at FEI pony level nationally with Crown Wishing Well (by FS Don't Worry x Campari) and Vanilla (by Voyager x Dressboy).
