Dorothee Schneider's nationally competed small tour horse Feriado passed away after a severe colic attack on 11 November 2020.

Feriado was a 9--year old Bavarian bred stallion by Fabregas out of Ricola (by Riccione x Dimension). He was bred by Sabine Hallerbach.

Birkhof

South German stallion owner Thomas Casper of Gestut Birkhof in Donzdorf, Germany, purchased Feriado as a foal at the Königsbrunn foal auction in 2011.

He became a premium stallion at the 2014 South German Stallion Licensing in Munich and completed his 30-day Stallion Performance Testing in Neustadt/Dosse in October 2014, scoring 8.05 for dressage and 7.70 for show jumping. He totalled 7.94.

As a breeding stallion he only bred to a small amount of mares and sired one state premium daughter. His most successful offspring is Fittipaldi, who won bronze in the 2019 Baden-Württemberg Riding Horse Championships.

Feriado made his show debut under Nicola Haug at the Pforzheim local show at L-level. He competed at five events in 2016 and qualified for the Bundeschampionate, but did not compete there.

Uta Gräf

In January 2017 the stallion was sent to Uta Gräf's yard for further training, after being purchased by Erik and Angelika Neukranz, who already had  Grand prix horse Lawrence (by Laomedon x Fidermark) with Uta at that time.

Graf and Feriado competed at national small tour level through the summer of 2018.

Dorothee Schneider

Neukranz decided on a new course for Feriado and moved him to Dorothee Schneider's stable in Framersheim.

The new duo made its show debut at a local event in Erbes-Budesheim in July 2019 and finished second in an S-level test. In 2020 the pair showed at two competitions: Wartenberg in May and Hadamar in August, where they won twice.

Unfortunately the black stallion developed a colic this week and could not be saved.
