Newly independent professional Marcus Hermes has taken over the ride on Quantum Vis, which Dorothee Schneider developed to Grand Prix level.

Quantum Vis MW is a 12-year old Hanoverian stallion by Quaterback out of Granada (by Gloster x Pikör x Wendekreis). He is bred and owned by Maja Wieczorek.

Diederik van Silfhout

Quantum Vis MW was first trained and competed by Diederik van Silfhout in The Netherlands from the age of 3 until he was 7. He produced him up to M-level with competition starts in 2016.

Matthias Bouten

The stallion then moved to Germany to Matthias Bouten, who competed him in the small tour at the age of 8 in 2017.

The pair rode in the Nurnberger Burgpokal qualifiers that year and qualified at Hof Bettenrode for the Finals in Frankfurt, where they placed third.

Dorothee Schneider

Wieczorek then moved the bay stallion to German Olympic Grand Prix rider Dorothee Schneider who confirmed him at Grand Prix level.

The new pair made its show debut in February 2019 in Ankum, finishing third in the Intermediaire II.  They won the Louisdor Cup qualifier in Balve. At the qualifier in Gut Ising, Schneider was hospitalized overnight after a riding accident. Quantum Vis spooked and bolted when Dorothee was trying to mount him and got injured.

At the 2019 Louisdor Cup Finals in Frankfurt, Schneider and Quantum Vis were fourth.

In 2020 Schneider showed the stallion in two developing GP horse tests at the CDN Wartenberg in May 2020, winning the Short Grand Prix.

Marcus Hermes

Wieczorek has now moved Quantum Vis to Gut Hausking in Appelhulsen, Germany, where Marcus Hermes has begun his independent business in November 2020.

Hermes was still very vague about plans and details about his new partnership with Quantum Vis. "No plans, we will see," he told Eurodressage.

In an interview with St. Georg, owner Maja Wieczorek stated that she wanted to keep Quantum Vis with Dorothee but that the distance between her home in Rhineland and Dorothee's base in Hessia was getting too far.

"I hadn't seen Quanti in almost a year, first because of difficulties with my pregnancy and now that my son has arrived, there is always something up," Maja told St. Georg. "I didn't want that anymore. When you have a horse like that, you want to see it. Dorothee understood that."

Hermes easily attracted new clients and has also been riding horses and assisting Gut Hausking's tennants, the von Hohenzollern-Brenske family.

When asked which horses he has that are closest to Grand Prix, Marcus named the developing GP mare Belle de Carpie (by De Chirico x Carpaccio) - previously shown by Juliane Brunkhorst) as well as small tour horse Baumann's Apollon, a 10-year old Westfalian stallion by Ampere x Davignon.
