Dutch children team rider Kebie Raaijmakers did not have to grieve long over losing the ride on her number one Happy Feet. Raaijmakers will move on to junior level with the Grand Prix horse Lord of Rock.

Lord of Rock is an 18-year old Bavarian warmblood by Lord Sinclair II out of Florentine (by Donnerschlag x Senator xx). He is bred by Georg Fiedler.

The bay was first competed at Grand Prix level in Germany by Julia Funke before selling to Brazilian Renata Rabello Costa.

In 2015 the horse made its international show debut at medium tour level in Vidauban, France, under British Anna Ross.

Lord of Rock sold to Sanne van Grotel of The Netherlands, as her Under 25 ride.

The pair made its show debut in February 2016 at the CDI Nice, where they won both U25 tests. In 2016 and 2017 they rode at Joosland, Compiegne, Roosendaal, Lier and Rotterdam. They were 9th at the 2017 Dutch Under 25 Championships.

A long, two year break from CDI competition followed, but the pair returned in June 2019 at the CDI Kronenberg in the senior Grand Prix tour. It was the horse's as well as the rider's last international competition.

The 18-year old Lord of Rock will now be a junior horse for Kebie Raaijmakers.

With Happy Feet Kebie was the 2020 Dutch Children's Champion and team gold medal winner at the 2020 European Children Championships.

After losing the ride on Happy Feet, there was little time for sorrow as Kebie has four horses to ride at the moment: three ponies and horse Lord of Rock. Her pony collection includes 4-year old Nostradamus (by No Limit) and two jumpers.

"I have no intentions to compete with ponies at FEI level and I really want to focus myself with Lord of Rock on junior riders," Kebie told Eurodressage.

She trains with Jacqueline and Jeanine Fiechter, who matched her to Van Grotel's horse.
