The national indoor dressage competition scheduled to take place in Ankum, Gemrany, on 9 - 14 February has been postponed until April. The second February date for the CDN Ankum remains on the calendar.

Corona Postponement

The effects of the coronavirus (COVID-19) are impacting on riders, horse owners and show organizers with particular severity. Amateur sporting activities continue to be suspended in all sports in Germany, including equestrian.

"With the extension of the shutdown for the entire Federal Republic until at least 14 February 2021, we have made the difficult decision to postpone the first spring event of the Ankumer Dressur Club, which was scheduled to take place from 9 to 14 February. The alternative date has been set for 6 - 11 April 2021. All entries will be transferred and remain within the system," Hof Kasselmann stated.

The Show Must Go On

The competitions in Ankum are highly frequented by the top German and German based foreign riders who want to compete in the highest echelons of the sport, from pony level to Grand prix.

"The Ankumer Dressur Club has always been very committed to supporting amateurs and professionals a like and we would like to continue to do so. We are one equestrian community and want to offer all riders, the same opportunity to enjoy what the ADC has to offer," Kasselmann continued.

We very much hope that competitions and other events will be allowed nationwide again as soon as possible. The second event date, 23 - 28 February 2021, is not yet affected.
