Danish stallion owner and breeder Lone Boegh Henriksen has acquired a half ownership share in the 6-year old Oldenburg licensed stallion Vivaldon.

Vivaldon is 2015 born stallion by Vivaldi out of Loxandra (by Diamond Hit x Argentinus x Larinero). He is bred by Paul Schockemöhle.

In October 2017, Schockemöhle tried selling Vivaldon, then named Vilando, in his 2017 PS Online Colt Auction. He apparently sold for the top price of 56,000 euro although no new owner was ever publicly recorded.  The stallion has a full brother, Viano PS, born in 2018.

Licensed and then to Sweden

Vivaldon was first licensed as a premium stallion at the Mecklenburger Licensing in Redefin in November 2017 and approved for Oldenburg in a home licensing on 8 January 2021.

After his licensing in Redefin, Vivaldon moved to Sweden to the Flyinge stud with whom Paul Schockemöhle has a collaboration. At the 2018 Swedish Warmblood Stallion Performance Testing, Vivaldon got Swedish Warmblood approved. He scored 9 for type, 8 for conformation, 8 for walk, 7.5 for trot and 8.5 for canter.

Vivaldon returned to Mühlen, Germany, in the autumn. Isabel Freese picked up the training of the stallion.

Henriksen Buys Half Ownership Share

Henriksen and Schockemöhle have been long-time collaborators. They co-own Schockemohle's two most used breeding stallions Furstenball, Vitalis, Total Hope, as well as Fursten-Look.

"I saw Vivaldon in Flyinge in 2019 for the first time and really liked him. After he came to Mühlen three months ago and Isabel took over the ride he developed a lot. She loves to ride him and he has a great character with lots of rideability and talent," Lone told Eurodressage. "I really like the Vivaldi offsprings and is a big fan of Diamond Hit. The fact that his dam is full sister to Loxana, who competed international Grand Prix is for me a big quality."

Henriksen explained that Vivaldon has the best foal inspection in Sweden in 2020 and believes he will be very liked by breedings this season.

"I really appreciate working together with Isabel Freese and Christin Geeske and they always gives the stallions the very best care and education," Lone added. "So when I got the chance (to invest) I didn’t need long to take the decision."
