Belgian pair Ine Blommaert and Wise Guy will not be riding on the Belgian team at the 2021 European Pony Championships in Strzegom, Poland. They have pulled out due to an injury.

Ina was selected on the Belgian team with her 13-year old Dutch bred Wise Guy (by Bodo x Orchard D'Avranches). The pair successfully competed at the CDI's in Grote-Brogel and Compiegne this season.

Unfortunately they withdrew from the team this week. Team captain Alain Rauw confirmed that Wise Guy has a hoof abscess.

Blommaert made her international show debut on ponies in 2019 with Nia Domo's Evita. In 2020 she purchased Wise Guy in Sweden and they became shooting stars on the Belgian pony score. At the 2020 European Pony Championships they were 16th in the Kur to Music finals.  The pair trains with Sophie Baetens-van Lent.

The first reserve - Rhune van Laeken on Drops (by Dance Star x Durello) - will replace the combination.

The 14-year old Van Laeken is a brand new rider on the international pony scene, making her CDI debut in the spring of 2021 on the 10-year old Drops. She is trained by Noa Moermans.
