German Triumph at Fabulous Fourth Edition of CDI Jiva Hill Stables in Crozet

The fourth edition of the CDI Jiva Hill Stables on 20 - 22 August 2021 was a huge success with three days of 3*, 4* and U25 level showing. Technique, elegance and emotion came together at this event, which was enjoyed by a large audience happy to see top sport dressage again, live. 

Top Sport in Top Conditions

Located in the heart of the natural reserve of the Haut-Jura , the equestrian centre of the Jiva Hill Resort Relais & Châteaux 5* welcomed international dressage riders from across europe for the fourth year since its inauguration as a CDI. 

Amongst the forty riders attending were the two brand new Olympic gold medal winning riders Jessica von Bredow-Werndl and Dorothee Schneider. Ten judges officiated as the ground jury for twelve tests, presided by French 5* judge Raphael Saleh. 

German Podium

The podium of the 4* big tour was 100% German over the weekend. Olympic champion Jessica von Bredow-Werndl piloted her rising Grand Prix star Ferdinand BB to a first place in the Grand Prix with 75.152%, closely followed by Dorothee Schneider on Faustus with 75.130%, and German A-squad rider Carina Scholz on Tarantino with 73.369%

The highlight class of the weekend, the Grand Prix Freestyle Jiva Hill Resort 4*, was again a German affair with Von Bredow-Werndl topping the board with 82.075%, followed by Schneider with 80.705%. The third place went this time to former German team rider Matthias Alexander Rath on Foundation with a score of 74.040% 

Four French Victories

French dressage riders were able to secure four victories over the weekend. 

Alix Bravard and Santiago captured the trophy in the Under 25 Short Grand Prix with 68.231%, while Laure Clémentin Simonnet and Donna Argentina bested the Grand Prix consolation class with 58,696%.

Marine Valot and Baltus Fleurville triumphed in the Intermediate 1 Freestyle 3* with 71,200%, and Sarah Lopez and Diablo De Saint Val captured the Intermediaire I 3* on a score of 69,382%.

Lifestyle Event

The 2021 CDI at Jiva Hill Resort Relais & Châteaux 5* was a true celebration of sport and lifestyle.

More success was to be earned in the various side events that were organized on the three competition days. A raffle on Sunday with very generous prizes peaked the interest of many attendees and the trade fair welcomed over 500 visitors each day. 

The team of the CDI Jiva Hill Stables is delighted to welcome competitors, officials and spectators again on 19 - 21 August 2022 for its fifth edition next summer. Many surprises have been planned for this fifth anniversary event.
