Austrian amateur dressage rider and maecenas Ruth Wimpissinger-Kerky passed away on 28 December 2021 age 64.

Professionally she managed brands Benetton and Sisley in Austria and her leisure time she dedicated to horses.

She introduced and supported her nephews in dressage sport - Felix and Florian Artner - and matched them with horses Sisley Santino and Fastean Seat Belt to trainer Julia Coppard-Dornig.

In the winter of 2016-2017 she began to collaborate with Stephanie Dearing and Christian Schumach. She owns Schumach's 15-year old Westfalian Grand Prix horse Donna Karacho (by Don Schufro x Fidermark), which was Schumach's original Tokyo hopeful but he last competed it internationally in September 2020, before switching his Olympic campaign to Te Quiero SF.

Kerky also sponsored the horse Benetton's Fabuleux for German para dressage rider Bettina Eistel to ride at the 2008 Paralympics in Hong Kong to team bronze.

Ruth was a passionate breeder and has numerous foals and youngsters at her own yard, Gut Muraunberg.
