The World Cup qualifier in Neumunster (GER) on 19 - 20 February 2022 will take place behind closed doors. The show jumping part of the event has been cancelled.
Strict hygiene rules in Germany during the fourth wave of corona have led to this decision to host a CDI-W Neumunster in light-version and exclude the jumper classes.
The short Grand Prix will be ridden on Saturday 19 February and the freestyle on Sunday 20 February.
Show director Francois Kasselmann said, "until the very end, we had considered all possibilities and hoped to be able to offer our uniquely enthusiastic Neumünster audience carefree, convivial hours and unforgettable moments of absolute top sport in jumping and dressage."
The organizer hopes to add a CDI tour to the programme to riders the opportunity to bring and compete a second horse.
Neumunster is fifth leg of the 2021-2022 Western European League World cup circuit after Herning, Lyon, Madrid and London. Three legs have been cancelled so far, Stuttgart, Mechelen and Amsterdam due to covid. The finals take place in Leipzig on 7 - 9 April 2022.
