Blue Hors Zackerey, the 8-year Danish warmblood stallion once praised as Blue Hors' biggest hope for the future, has changed German stallion station once again. For 2022 he will be standing at Lodbergen.

Blue Hors Zackerey is by Blue Hors Zack out of Overgaard's Hit Me (by Sandro Hit x Solos Carex).

Danish, Oldenburg, Swedish Licensed

He was a premium stallion at the Danish Warmblood Licensing and also approved for Oldenburg and Swedish warmblood. In 2018 he won the Main Premium title at the Oldenburg Licensing for his excellent first crop of foals and performance test results.

He was initially trained by Daniel Bachmann Andersen and they became the reserve champion as a 4-year old at the 2019 Danish Young Horse Championships. When Bachmann left Blue Hors stud in 2020, the ride surprisingly went to the off-base rider; Spaniard Severo Jurado Lopez.

Move to Germany

In 2021 Zackerey moved to Germany to stand at Martin Determann's station.

"The demand for semen from Zackerey is very high in Germany, and we have therefore entered the agreement of letting him stand stud at Martin Determann's new stallion station," Blue Hors breeding director Martin Klavsen stated in February 2021.

The ride on the stallion was given to Lukas Fischer, who competed the horse once in December 2021 at M-level.

Move to Lodbergen

For the 2022 breeding season, Zackerey has found a new home in Germany at the Dressage Performance center (DLZ) in Lodbergen.

"We are very pleased that the highly decorated son of Blue Hors Zack has moved into his stallion box with us - and we would like to thank Blue Hor for the trust they have placed in us," DLZ communicated.

Lodbergen’s head rider Therese Nilshagen told Eurodressage that, “Zackerey is here since a few days. At the moment I am riding him and if it will turn out that we are fine together, I will keep on educating him. He is a sweet stallion with a lot of power and energy. Of course as a stallion station, we are proud to be able to offer such an interesting stallion to our breeders.”
