Coral Ingham's Wanadoo, who has been internationally competed by Carl Hester and Meghan Ingham, has been retired from competition sport. He is 21 years old.

Wanadoo is a 2001 born Hanoverian gelding by Wolkenstein II out of Clärchen (by Cavalier x Eisenherz I x Maigraf xx). He is bred by Uwe Ropers.

The chestnut was presented at the 2003 Hanoverian Stallion Licensing in Verden.

In 2004 he was saddle broken, trained and first competed by Anna-Sophie Fiebelkorn, who rode him at the Hanoverian Young Horse Championships  to an 8th place.

Purchased by Spanish Olympian Juan Matute Azpitarte at the Hanoverian auction in Verden, Wanadoo initially stayed with Fiebelkorn a bit longer through 2005, but the temperamental redhead was then moved to Spain, where he was trained by Enrique Brewah Granados.

In 2006 and 2007 Enrique rode Wanadoo at the Sunshine tour in Vejer de la Frontera.

Coral Ingham

In the winter of 2007, Wanadoo sold to British Coral Ingham, who made her show debut on him in February 2008 at Medstead Grance equestrian centre. The horse was gelded to be focused on sport.

Ingham competed the horse first few months under the guidance of Carl Hester. His assistant and then the still undiscovered Charlotte Dujardin showed him at Medium level through the autumn of 2008.

Hester and Wanadoo premiered at international Grand Prix level in July 2015 at Hickstead, winning the Grand Prix and Kur. They went on to compete in Saumur.

In 2016 he rode the chestnut at the CDI's in Jerez de la Frontera, Keysoe, and Compiegne. Carl won the 2016 British Grand Prix Championship on Wanadoor.  The pair's last CDI was in Doha in March 2017.

Meghan Ingham

Wanadoo then moved on as a schoolmaster for the owner's daughter Meghan, who premiered him nationally in Wellington in November 2017.

Meghan and Wanadoo made their CDI debut at Young Riders' level in Hagen in June 2018 and she further rode him in Hickstead and Le Mans.

After one more CDI at Young riders' level at Keysoe, they made the transition to Under 25 Grand Prix level and rode in Riesenbeck and Hickstead to scores in the mid sixties. In the 2020 corona year there was one international start in Gothenburg, and they competed in the Grand Prix at the 2020 British Dressage Championships. Their last show together was the CDI Wellington Heckfield in May 2021.

Wanadoo has been officially retired from competition sport. "He’s been amazing, the horse of a life time," Coral told Eurodressage. "He is retired at home with us. He goes out in the field and we still ride him a few times a week, just light schooling and hacking."
