After less than one year on the job at Gestut Tannenhof, German professional dressage rider Oliver Luze and his wife Katrin have parted ways with Plönzke.

German Dressage Yards

Oliver Luze began his career at Gronwohldhof with Herbert and Karin Rehbein. He then became an auction rider in Vechta and a stallion performance tester in the U.S.A, before moving to Gestut Tannenhof in 1998, where they worked for more than 10 years.

Oliver's greatest claim to success in his career was aboard Tannenhof's Carabas, who he rode to victory in the 2008 Louisdor Cup Finals (then called Medien Cup Finals) for developing Grand Prix horses. He also competed him at Grand Prix level twelve times in 2008, always placing first or second always with scores of 70%.

After Carabas sold to Andreas Helgstrand in the winter of 2008 the couple left Tannenhof for the Schwiebert's Helenenhof in 2009.  Luze and Carabas re-united because Schwiebert had bought the stallion from Helgstrand. Luze and Carabas competed internationally in 2010 at CDI's in Hagen, Hamburg, Strassen and Verden.

The couple left the Schwieberts' in November 2010 and rented stalls for a while at Dieter Mehrens' yard in Sievershütte, before moving to the Heicke family's Fohlenhof. In October 2013 Luze and Heicke went separate ways and the couple moved to Birkhof in Donzdorf, Germany, where they were stayed for seven years.

On 1 January 2021the pair moved to Freiberger Hof to replace head rider Marcus Hermes, but they were only there for 2.5 months.

On 1 May 2021 they returned to Plönzke's Gestut Tannenhof.

A New Chapter

The Luzes will began a new chapter in their life this coming spring.

"Oliver and Kati are not at Tannenhof anymore because my father and I we want to scale down our yard," Anja Plönzke told Eurodressage. "We have too many horses, too many riders. We want to make it smaller, sell some horses, which is why we did some auctions. We also sold some horses privately."
