Faszination de Malleret (by Fürst Belissaro x San Remo), premium stallion at the 2021 Hanoverian Stallion Licensing in Verden

Faszination de Malleret, the French owned Hanoverian premium licensed stallion by Fürst Belissaro x San Remo, is standing at stud at Tina Hinnemann's stallion station Krüsterhof in Voerde, Germany, for the 2022 breeding season.

He is being trained by Stefanie Wolf in an age appropriate way and with the hope of competing at the 2022 Bundeschampionate.

Turning Heads

The handsome Faszination de Malleret turned heads at the 2021 Hanoverian Stallion Licensing in Verden, where he was proclaimed premium stallion and sold for 210,000 euro to Haras de Malleret.

Bred Jan Schomaker, Faszination convinced the licensing committee and attending crowds with his sporty conformation, excellent basic gaits, and self-confident disposition.

He has all the ingredients to become successful in sport and breeding.

First Year in Germany

Extraordinary gaits
Instead of bringing Faszination home to France, owner Gérald Martinez decided to stable the young stallion at Krüsterhof in Germany, where his qualities can be nurtured and marketed in a professional way to a larger breeders' audience.

"I always try my best to juggle my philosophy and economic reality in the most efficient way," Martinez told Eurodressage. "Faszination is a prodigious young stallion who to many was the favourite of the Hanoverian Licensing. German breeders prefer to work with fresh semen and we had many inquiries for this superb stallion, so he had to stay in Germany to be available to them."

Martinez is convinced Krüsterhof can offer the best platform for Faszination's first year standing at stud.

"He is now at a very good house where he can go outside and be ridden by someone who shares the same philosophy as me, the same treatment, respect, way of riding," Gérald added.

Tentative Target Warendorf

Head rider Stefanie Wolf has taken on the training of Faszination and a tentative target for the 2022 Bundeschampionate in Warendorf has been set.

The stallion moved almost straight from the licensing in Verden to Krüsterhof in Voerde, where he first got a well deserved holiday before his training was picked up.

"He is very easy and shows top character that I had detected," said a proud Martinez. "He is flexible like a feline, his gaits that are irreproachable and of very high quality! The walk is very ground covering and supple, the trot active behind, with good natural bounce and flow, and the canter is uphill. He is active with an exemplary natural balance. It's a delight !"

He will do his mandatory 2-day stallion suitability test later this year and Warendorf would be a welcome season goal, but only if the horse is ready for it.

"If everything is easy for him and in line with his growth, only then we will probably try for Warendorf for the 3yo stallion class," said Gérald. "For next season it's still a little early to talk about the strategy, it will depend on him."
