Faszination de Malleret (by Fürst Belissaro x San Remo), premium stallion at the 2021 Hanoverian Stallion Licensing in Verden

The 2.5-year old newly licensed and premium labelled Hanoverian stallion Faszination de Malleret (by Fürst Belissaro x San Remo) will move to Johann Hinnemann's stallion station Krüsterhof in Voerde, Germany, for the 2022 breeding season.

The handsome bay stallion will begin his age appropriate first training under the expert care of Stefanie Wolf.

Faszination de Malleret, Turning Heads in Verden

Faszination de Malleret was one of the biggest head turners at the 2021 Hanoverian Stallion Licensing in Verden, Germany, on 5 - 7 November 2021.

Bred Jan Schomaker and presented by Heinrich Gießelmann, the strong moving bay stallion impressed the licensing committee and crowds with his modern conformation, excellent basic gaits, and relaxed, self-confident attitude in the arena. He has all the ingredients to become a top sport horse in dressage and the genes to be a highly valued breeding stallion.

The Hanoverian licensing committee rewarded his qualities by labelling him "premium" stallion. He did not go unnoticed by Gérald Martinez, who secured the horse at auction for 210,000 euro for Haras de Malleret in France.

"He was my favourite from the start," said Martinez. "To me, the best horses are the ones who are the most consistent through all the phases: in hand, on the lunge, in freedom. and for me that was Faszination.  A stallion must be noble in every sense of the word and he has three excellent gaits, showing them in each phase of the licensing no matter the external parameters. It also proves his lovely character and that a priority for me. So many horses are too difficult for many riders and we must not forget to really have fun, first of all. Faszination combines top level potential for sport with character and heart."

Exquisite Pedigree

Faszination de Malleret has an exquisite pedigree of performance dressage blood.

The 170 cm tall stallion is by Fürst Belissaro (by Fürstenball x Belissimo M) out of Seute Deern (by San Remo x Davignon x Raphael).

He combines the best of Germany's modern, athletic young sires, as well as the proven, traditional lines in the third and fourth generation.

His dam line of "Cabanda" has produced the legendary breeding stallions Pik Bube, Donnerschlag, Ragazzo, Scuderia, Denoix PCH and Destano, as well as international Grand Prix horses Santana (Minna Telde), Bonamour (Hubertus Schmidt), and Rebelle (Daniel Bachmann), amongst others.

"I'm really happy to have had the chance to acquire him,"Gerald added. "Faszination certainly reinforces the diversity in pedigrees we stand at Haras de Malleret, alongside our Danciano (by Dancier x Rotspon) and Flinstone (by Fidertanz x Abanos)."

Krüsterhof

Haras de Malleret has struck a partnership with renowned stallion station Krusterhof in Germany, where Faszination de Malleret will be available to breeder with fresh semen in 2022.

Under the careful training and supervision of Grand Prix rider and young horse expert Stefanie Wolf, Faszination will be meticulously prepared for the stallion suitability test next year.

"We are happy and proud that our new stallion Faszination can call the prestigious stallion station Krusterhof his home for 2022," said Martinez. "They will approach the training of our horse with same great respect and patience as we do at home. After a long conversation with Stefanie Wolf and after deliberation with our trainers Hans-Heinrich Meyer zu Strohen and Ariane Pourtavaf, I am reassured that we all share the same vision: the well-being of my horses above all."
