Elisabeth Max-Theurer has been re-elected president of the Austrian Equestrian Federation for the fifth, consecutive time at the General Assembly on April 25, 2022 at Parkhotel Brunauer in Salzburg.

With a large majority, Max-Theurer was reelected to the post by the 102 delegates that chose a new board of directors.

Parkhotel Brunauer, Salzburg City, April 25, 2022. The path to success of the Austrian Equestrian Sports Association can continue. 102 delegates from all nine federal states came punctually at 3 p.m. to the General Assembly.

All resolutions were passed unanimously: the membership fees (which have not been increased for years due to the association's frugal management). The fee will remain 9 euro in 2023 and 2024;  the appointment of the auditor; the decision to discharge the Executive Committee and the Treasurer based on the audit report 2020 and 2021; as well as an amendment to the statutes regarding the "doping paragraph" 25.

"It feels like a fresh start for all of us after this long COVID time. It feels good to be able to come together with you all again, instead of in a digital video conference, here in the beautiful Parkhotel Brunauer," said Elisabeth Max-Theurer. "The two crisis years 2020 and 2021 were also survived well. These are not empty words, because a look at the statistics confirms that the numbers in our sports association are going up again despite the hard times!"

Vice-president Klaus Haim emphasized the importance of restructuring the federation. According to the press release sent out, "the goals of the new structure are: to broaden the sports area in order to improve service and relieve the position of the Secretary General, to meet the desire for professionalization in sports and the upgrading of all employees, and by introducing clerks who To support speakers in their work and to work through it."

Four new board members were elected: Dr. Angelika May (Secretary), Thomas Groisshammer (Treasurer), Ludwig Hoffmann and Lieutenant Colonel Roland Pulsinger (both as Vice-Presidents). The four retiring board members are Ing. Erich Huber-Tentschert, Dr. Ernst Griebnitz, Dr. Gunther Fohrenbacher and Dr. Martin Dal-Bianco.
