Gregory, the winner of the 2020 NRPS stallion performance test, has been sold to the U.K. The ride on the 6-year old licensed stallion was initially allocated to Sarah Stewart, but in the end a match was found with British Under 25 rider Ellen McCarthy.

Gregory is a KWPN bred and registered stallion by George Clooney out of elite mare Hortensia V (by Lord Leatherdale x Negro). He is bred by Gert-Jan van Olst in The Netherlands

Loverboy Gregory

Originally named Loverboy, the dark bay stallion was presented for NRPS licensing in the winter of 2019 and after winning the 2020 stallion performance test was fully licensed to breed with NRPS, which led to his name change to Gregory.

At the performance testing, Gregory scored impressive results with 8 for walk, 8.5 for trot, 9.5 for canter, and straight 9s for his dressage test, character, willingness to work, stable behaviour and talent.

Sold to the U.K.

Gregory has sold to Charlotte and Emma Parsons in the U.K., where he will continue his career as a sport horse and breeding stallion.

Parsons first allocated the ride and training of the horse to Sarah Stewart, but eventually found a new home in the New Forest with Ellen McCarthy.

"We are thrilled to have Gregory with us in the U.K.," Parsons told Eurodressage. "We are planning for him to be available for mares in late June and he will be registered with Stallion AI Services and B&W Willesley for mares."
