German Grand Prix rider Matthias Bouten has decided to leave his employer of four years, Toni and Marina Meggle at stable Georgihof in Wasserburg, and go independent again.
On the Move
Bouten rode himself in the picture first as an assistant rider at Isabell Werth's yard in Rheinberg.
He then took up the job as trainer at the Baumgurtel's Freiberger Hof, but left in the summer of 2014 to go independent. He and his life partner Vincent Arroyo moved to Stable Giesen in Sonsbeck, Germany, where he also got the ride on several of Marianne Jerich's FEI level horses, but that collaboration ended in 2016.
Another independent stint followed and Bouten rode clients horses and some for stallion station Ferienhof Stucker.
In May 2018 he became the head rider at Meggle Stable and competed horses such as Boston, Grimani, Fidelio Royal, and Long Island internatonally for the Meggle family.
New Chapter
Already two months ago, Bouten announced his decision to leave Meggle for a new chapter in his life.
He and Vincent Arroyo have decided to relocate to the Bell-Wieser family's riding stable in Grafing near Munich.
"I'm looking forward to the future with new projects and new partners," he stated on social media.
