
American young dressage professional Rebecca Cohen has acquired the 8-year old KWPN bred Jameson and the 6-year old Swedish warmblood Prince of Hope.
Jameson
Jameson is an 8-year old KWPN by Van Gogh x Upgrade x Burggraaf. He is bred by MTS Stultens was previously owned by Belgian FEI rider Frederik van der Keere in partnership with Dutch Bert Rutten.
The horse made its international show debut at small tour level in 2012 under Van de Keere. He competed him in Grote Brogel and Waregem.
"It was definitely love at first sight when I tried him the first time in May," said Rebecca. "He is extremely special. Now we will get to know each other and all the work begins, I cannot wait to make everyone proud with these incredible horses."
Prince of Hope
Prince of Hope is by Total Hope out of Mannerhorns Princess (by Belaggio x Trombon x Dawson). He is bred by Siw Wreme Mannerhorn.
The young stallion was owned by Jan Brink's Tullstorp stable and successfully competed in the young horse classes in Sweden.
In 2020 he finished fourth under Ida-Linn Lundholm at the Swedish Warmblood Young Horse Championships. He scored 84.20 points in the first round and 90.000 in the second round. A year later he was ridden by Mattias Jansson and ranked fifth at the 2021 Swedish Warmblood Young Horse Championships. He scored 8.8 for trot, 6.9 for walk, 8.1 for canter, 7.9 for submission and 8.1 for general impression.
Sold to the U.S.A.
Jameson and Prince of Hope sold to the 26-year old Rebecca Cohen, who is based in Wellington, Florida.
Between 2010 and 2013 Cohen competed in the international junior and young riders classes in the U.S.A. after which a 9-year old break from CDI showing followed. She returned to the CDI ring this year with the 10-year old Swedish mare Tuschomie (by Tuschinski x Blue Hors Romancier), which she also sourced at Jan Brink's barn.
After graduating from Union College in Classics and Sociology in 2018, Rebecca returned to riding and moved to Sweden on May 2019 Rebecca to train with Jan Brink. There she bough bought from Brink: Grand Prix horse Pronto (by Prestige x Hubertus), small tour horse Missisippi (by Highcruiser x Maraton), Kai von Wittenstein (by Dream Boy x Florencio), and Tuschomie.
"He is the cutest horse ever," Rebecca said about Prince of Hope. "Thanks to my mom Carol and Blake for always supporting my career with amazing horses."
