Belgian Horses Selected for 2022 World Young Horse Championships

The Belgian equestrian federation has selected the horses that will represent Belgium at the 2022 World Championships for Young Dressage Horses, hosted in Ermelo, The Netherlands from September 8-11, 2022.

The second and final team selection trial took place at Haras du Roua in Hannut on Wednesday 3 August 2022. 

The horses were assessed by judges Truppa, Leyman and van Biervliet.

Selected to represent Belgium are:

5-year olds

  • Niessen Zoe - Rashida Van De Kempenhoeve (BWP 'by Revolution x Blue Hors Zack) 
  • Loos Franka - Racoon (BWP 'by Hero x De Niro)

The 5-year old reserves are Amber Heidbuchel Amber (Rianta van de Kempenhoeve) and Celine Swinnen (Rolex ‘W’ van Prinsenhof’s)

6-year olds

  • Heylen Tom - Quberon van het Beukenhof (BWP 'by Johnson x Don Renoir) 
  • Verboomen Justin - Zonik Plus (HANN 'by Zonik x Hohenstein)

7-year olds

  • Van Laer Nick - Jack Daniels N (SBS 'by Apache x Welt Hit II) 
  • Meisch Linda - Patty's Mistake (BWP 'by De Niro x Tuschinski) 

The 7-year old reserve is Jorinde Verwimp Jorinde on Newberry Z
