The 5-year old Va' Pensiero has been withdrawn from the 2022 World Championships for Young Dressage Horses in Ermelo on 7 - 11 September 2022.
The Hanoverian stallion (by Vitalis – Fürstenball) is not fit to compete.
The bay Va Pensiero is bred at Zuchthof Düvel and owned by Felix Ferdinand Becker. In Germany the young sire built up a big list of achievements: sport test high scorer, Hanoverian young horse champion, and 2020 Bundeschampion, but the bay still had to prove his talent and potential under rider Hannah Laser to an international judges panel and audience in Ermelo. This will not happen.
The stallion has injured himself and is pulled from the competition. In addition, his lease contract with stallion station Klosterhof Medingen has also ended and the horse has returned home, where he will recover. This also ends the combination Laser-Va' Pensiero.
"We wish Va' Pensiero and his owner Felix Becker all the best for a future in sport," Klosterhof Medingen announced.
The withdrawal opens up a slot for Team Germany's first reserve to step in and go to Ermelo: Galleria's Summerville, an Oldenburger stallion by Sezuan – Diamond Hit ridden by Manuel Dominguez Bernal and owned by Galleria Sportpferde.
