German professional young horse rider Johanna Klippert is leaving her employer, Hof Borgmann, on 1 September 2022 to join the team at Hedda Ottmann-Droege's yard near Münster.
Holkenbrink - Borgmann
Originally from Kassel (GER) and first schooled as a rider at Hof Kasselmann, Johanna is a familiar face on the German young horse scene and built up her name in the Westfalia area.
Her career kicked off when she worked for Stallion Station Holkenbrink and piloted Franziskus (by Fidertanz x Alabaster) to the 2012 Bundeschampionate title. She achieved two further silver medals at the Bundeschampionate with Hollister (by Hotline x Don Frederico) in 2014 and Fashion in Black (by For Romance x Lauries Crusador xx) in 2019.
After ten years riding for Holkenbrink, Klippert moved to Hof Borgmann in April 2021 and stayed there for 1.5 years. She recently competed horses Despacita, Braveaux and Dresscode, as well as took over the ride on stallion Indianapolis after Steffi Wold injured herself.
Hedda Droege
Klippert has now accepted a riding position at Hedda Droege's stable in Saerbeck, and will bring her own horse Despacita (by Download x Ehrenmarsch) and Indianapolis.
Hedda is the daughter of famous Westfalian horse breeder Walter Droege and competed internationally until 2015. She is married to Franz Georg Ottmann. The couple welcomed their first baby last month. In recent years the best horses from Droege's breeding programme were sold to Helgstrand Dressage, including Espe.
Droege trains with Johannes Augustin and has been collaborating with riders such as Stefanie Wolf, Bianca Nowag, Pia Wischerath, and Claudia Rüscher. The latter recently went independent at a new yard in Ostbevern.
