Yessin Rahmouni's international small tour horse Impress Taonga has been sold to Australia. He will continue his sport career under multiple Olympian Mary Hanna.

Impress Taonga is a 9-year old Dutch warmblood by Vitalis out of Templeton's Honeymoon (by Hotline x Alabaster x Bolero). He is bred and was owned by KWPN Breeder of the Year 2022, Willeke Bos.

The impressive liver chestnut stallion was approved for breeding with the AES studbook in 2020.

Dutch-Moroccan Yessin Rahmouni began riding the 1.78 m standing stallion when he was four and produced him to FEI level.

The pair made its international show debut at the 2018 World Championships for young dressage horses in Ermelo, where they finished 14th in the consolation finals with 76.600 points.  A year later they were 11th in the 2019 Pavo Cup Finals.

In 2021 the duo made its CDI premier at small tour level at the CDI Opglabbeek in Belgium, finishing sixth twice.

A year later, in April 2022, Impress Taonga returned to the CDI arena under the owner's daughter, Lara van Nek, who presented the tall stallion at the CDI Kronenberg in the junior division. They were third in the individual test with 69.495%.

Impress Taonga has now been sold to Australian Mary Hanna. The horse is at the moment based with Mary's coach Henri Ruoste in Menden, Germany.

"With the help of my trainer I have been searching this year for a special horse, suitable to train to GP level," Mary told Eurodressage. "It hasn’t been easy, but finally we found a lovely Impress Taonga in the stable of Yessin Rahmouni. He has competed successfully to Prix St George level, but we are hoping he will be Grand Prix ready some time next year."

Hanna was convinced by the potential and talent of the stallion.

"He has three very good paces, and although he is very tall and strong boned, he is beautiful to sit on and gives me a lovely feeling," she said. "Tommie, as we call him,  is quite a character. Everyone in the stable loves him, and I look forward to riding him everyday."
