Antonia Ax:son Johnson's stable Lövsta Stuteri has acquired Racoon, a  5-year-old Belgian warmblood licensed stallion and a World Young Horse championship finalist

Racoon is by the KWPN sire Hero (by Johnson x Ferro) and out of Sarina (by De Niro x Sultan). He is Belgian warmblood registered.

Bred and previously owned by Arjan Bakkers from Sint Oedenrode, The Netherlands, the black stallion

Racoon is bred in the Netherlands by Arjan Bekkers, but BWP registered, his first offspring were born this year. Bekkers was also the owner of racoon up until the sale to Lövsta Stuteri.

The black beauty was presented and licensed with the Belgian warmblood society and so far he has 21 foals registered with the BWP studbook, born in 2021 and 2022.

The stallion came out of nowhere on the Belgian show scene, presented by Dutch Franka Loos for team selection for the 2022 World Championships for Young Dressage Horses in Ermelo. The pair was nominated and finished fifth in the 5-year old finals.  Racoon scored 8,5 for walk, 9 for trot, 8.6 for canter and 9 for submission and perspective and he totalled 8,82 points.

The black has now been sold to Antonia Ax:son Johnson and arrived in Sweden today.

“We fell head over heels for Racoon from the first moment," said Tinne Vilhelmson. "When we saw him at the warmup in Ermelo, he immediately impressed us with his expression, his suppleness and his athletic movements. He really is something very special, we are really looking forward to get to know him better here in his new home."
