Young German dressage professional Evelyn Eger has received a special sponsorship from Barbara Bruns and Wolfgang Stamp as member of the talent pool of the German Top Equestrian Sport Foundation.
The soon to be 25-year old Eger works as a professional rider at Hof Kasselmann in Hagen and has been competing in the Under 25 and senior Grand Prix division.
Eger will now receive a two-year sponsorship from Bruns and Stamp, who will not only support her financially but also provide her with horses.
Professional Rider
Originally from Idstein, Germany, Eger began as an eventing and jumping rider before switching to dressage. She was trained as a bereiter at the horse dealing yard Wintermühle of Arnold Winter in Neu-Anspech before moving to Hof Kasselmann.
Eger has been riding on the Piaff Forderpreis circuit with Whitley and Flynn in 2020 and 2021 and this year she's been campaigning young horse Global Power, small tour horse Darjeeling, and young Grand Prix horse Tabledance at international shows.
“Barbara Bruns and Wolfgang Stamp believe in me and give me the opportunity to ride and train great horses. They also enjoy supporting me. That makes me happy,” said Evelyn Eger.
Bruns and Stamp
Barbara Bruns and Wolfgang Stamp run a breeding and training stable in Winsen, Lower Saxony. They also have a passion for breeding dogs and alpacas.
They spotted the talent of the young dressage rider and would like to support Evelyn in her sporting career. "Evelyn Eger is not only an outstanding rider, she is also a likeable woman with a great personality. I'm looking forward to the time together," says Barbara Bruns.
Eger told Eurodressage that she has already received on two of their horses: the 10-year old Grand Prix level Queen Lakshmi (by Quaterhall x Dancier) and the 6-year old M-level successful Beniko (by Bordeaux x Wyoming).
