Big Bang OLD (by Benefit - Fidertanz - Rubinstein I)

The impressive Big Bang OLD by Oldenburg licensing champion Benefit became the price highlight of the 2022 Oldenburg Special Edition auction in Vechta, Germany, on 3 December 2022.

Customers from all over the world spent over 1.3 million euro to secure their Oldenburg future star in Vechta shortly before Christmas. The Oldenburg breeding philosophy shines: The celebrated champion stallion Benefit from 2017 presented the two top priced horses.

For 190,500 euro, a young girl from Germany bought her Christmas present at the online auction in Vechta. The magnificent three-year-old Big Bang OLD (by Benefit - Fidertanz - Rubinstein I), bred by the renowned Woldsee Stud, comes from the world-famous Kateste dam line, as do numerous Grand Prix horses and Olympian Volturno.

The second price highlight sold for 99,000 euro: the three-year old Bon Amour (by Benefit - San Amour I - Ravallo), bred by Johannes Heinrichs. Her dam, the Brillantring mare Mon Amour, was also discovered in Vechta. Bon Amour will shine in an Olympic stable in Switzerland in the future.

Bon Amour
Sir Sly (by Secret x Diamond Hit) sold for 79,500 euro, Selena (by Sezuan's Donnerhall x Samarant) for 49,000 euro, and Valorant (by Vitalis x Sandro Hit) for 45,500 euro. They all stay in Germany.

The top priced youngster was the Dominator grandson Calvin Klein (by Casithargos-H - Dominator Z - Catano), bred by Horst Schlüsselburg. The 2.5-year old sold for 32,500 euro. Glanmore (by Glamourdale x Quiztime) went for 21,500 euro.

"The 8th Oldenburg Online Special Edition of the Oldenburg Verband was the crowning finale of a brilliant year. 10 of 45 auction candidates were bought by Oldenburg friends from abroad," the GOV stated. "In the future, they will bring joy in Sweden (2), USA (2), France (1), Mexico (1), Romania (1), Switzerland (1), Spain (1) and Hungary (1)."

The average price for a sport horse was 35,600 euro; for a 2.5-year old it was 16,500 euro.
