Millennium has been proclaimed Trakehner Stallion of the Year 2022. The 14-year old black was celebrated at the 2022 Trakehner Stallion Licensing on 2 November 2022.

One year after his sire Easy Game was named Stallion of the Year, Millennium succeeded him.

Stamping Modern Dressage Breeding

The Grand Prix stallion, who has only been lightly competed and is devoting his time to breeding, has been given this title at a rather young age because of how he stamped modern dressage horse breeding. With around 100 licensed sons, including numerous licensing champions, he has also sired many successful horses in sport.

As one of the few big breeders on the German market, Millennium stands out with the amount of offspring that is breaking through at S-level. More than other big breeders, his sons and daughters stand out in sport, the Trakehner Verband argued.

Success from the Start

Bred by Dr. Bettina Bieschewski and reared by Norbert Timm at Gestüt Hohenschmark, Millennium (by Easy Game x Ravel x Consul) was the reserve champion of the 2010 Trakehner Stallion Licensing and sold to a syndicate made by Gestut Moritzburg and Gestut Sprehe.

He has been standing at stud at Sprehe's in Benstrup-Löningen and amongst his sons are licensing champions Sir Sansibar, Impact, Kaiser Milton, and Oldenburg champion Morricone. His most successful offspring in sport include Louisdor cup finalist Mist of Titanium (Emma Kanerva) and WCYH finalist and reserve Bundeschampion Marc Cain (Simone Pearce).

This year the German Sport Horse society (DSP) proclaimed Millennium elite stallion.
