
Charlotte Chalvignac's internationally Grand Prix horse Icaro das Figueiras has been sold to the United States.
Icaro is a 9-year old Lusitano by Epico out of Eira das Figueiras (by Unico SQT). He is bred by Quanta das Terras society.
From Spain to France
Owned by Chalvignac, Olivier Arnal and Domaine de la Chapelle, the grey stallion was first competed in Spain in 2019 by Manuel Perez Garcia. He contested the 6-year old young horse classes.
During the corona pandemic outbreak, Chalvignac discovered Icaro in Spain and brought him to France. Charlotte made her national debut on the stallion in November 2020 in Le Mans and moved him up to Grand Prix level in April 2021.
The pair made its international show debut at medium tour level in February 2021 at the CDI Le Mans and rode their first international Grand Prix test in August 2021 in Crozet. In 2022 the pair contested the CDI's in Le Mans, Compiègne and the Nations Cup in Rotterdam, which was their last international together
Sold to the U.S.A.
In the past decade, Daehnert competed at six CDI's in the U.S.A. Her international career starting horse was Costalero XII (by Minero VII x Sevillano XVI). Then small tour horse UNO Samantha (by Shepard x Donnerhall) followed.
Daehnert's name got global attention when Price bought British Grand Prix team horse Half Moon Delphi (by Dimaggio x Westwall) in June 2015. She competed Delphi in one international in February 2016. Sarah returned to the Global Dressage Festival in Wellington in 2018 with the hugely talented Evander (by Vivaldi x Jazz), which she showed through April 2021.
