Get You The Moon, the 6-year old who represented Austria at the 2022 World Young Horse Championships, has been sold to Great Britain. She will continue her sport career with British U25 rider Ellen McCarthy.
Get You The Moon is an Austrian warmblood by Goldberg out of Saphira SA (by San Amour x Acord's Champion). She is bred by Dietfried and Lebrecht Angerer.
G-Star SA
Get You The Moon is a filly from the Angerer breeding proframme. Dam Saphira SA also produced state premium mare Fairy Tale (by Follow Me) in 2015 and A Skyfall SA (by All at Once) in 2014, while in 2017 Dreams and Sugar SA (by Dream Boy) followed.
Originally named G-Star SA, the mare was the bronze medal winner at the 2016 Austrian Warmblood Foal Championship.
Angerer sent the mare in training to Germany with Lisa and Sebastian Horler, who in August 2020 sold her to German Sarah Runge, based at Stall Rothenberger in Bad Homburg.
Get You The Moon
Runge rode the mare for a while, but ended up re-allocating her to Lisa Horler.
Horler began competing G-Star under the name "Get You The Moon" in May 2021 in Germany and took her to the 2021 Austrian Young Horse Championships, where they won the 5-year old division.
In 2022 the pair made its international show debut in the young horse classes at the CDI Wiesbaden, where they were fifth and third with 81.20 and 83.40%. The duo was selected to represent Austria at the 2022 World Championships for young dressage horses in Ermelo and finished 11th in the Finals with 81.20 points. In Ermelo, the mare was listed as owned by the breeder on the official score sheets and jumbotron.
Sold to Great Britain
Get You The Moon has now been sold to Great Britain as an FEI prospect for Ellie McCarthy.
"She is such an amazing horse with a super character but sadly we don’t fit so good together," Sarah told Eurodressage. "I’m so happy that Ellie bought her and I’m sure they will have a bright future together."
