Welcome to the world, Isabella Rose

Double Olympic champion Charlotte Dujardin has given birth to her first baby, a girl, on 6 March 2023. Dujardin announced the news on social media.

"On behalf of Charlotte Dujardin, we are delighted to say that Isabella Rose has entered the world safely and to the delight and joy of both Charlotte and Dean," said Dujardin's PR agent. "Isabella was born yesterday, 6th March, at 9.48am and is already surrounded by immense love and excitement from Charlotte, Dean and their families."

Dujardin is the 2012 and 2016 Olympic dressage champion on Valegro. In 2021 she claimed bronze at the Tokyo Olympics on Gio. She last competed internationally with Imhotep at the 2022 World Championships in Herning, where she finished 10th in the Kur finals. Her last competition was in September at the 2022 British National Championships.

Dujardin announced her pregnancy in August 2022.

Father of the baby is Dujardin's partner of almost two decades, Dean Wyatt Golding. The South African was introduced to Charlotte by Carl Hester in 2007. The couple got first engaged in 2012. Dean put smiles on everyone's faces when he flashed a board with a proposal for marriage at both the 2012 and 2016 Olympics, but a wedding didn't take place. After a short break in 2019, they rekindled their romance and have now welcomed a baby girl into their family. At a baby shower in December, the pair announced their engagement.

Congratulations!
