Nine colts have begun the 2023 KWPN Spring stallion performance testing in Ermelo on 20 March 2023.
Thirteen stallions stood on the starters' list for the spring testing, but KWPN communicated that three of them were asked to come back for the autumn testing and not deemed ready. Nine began the testing. The four of 13 on the list that are not participating in the testing are: Pjento Naomie (by Kjento x Desperado), Pirelli (by Just Wimhof x Governor), Power Dutch (by Toto Jr x Double Dutch), and Princeton (by Glamourdale x Don Schufro)
At the first mid-way assessment on 31 March all nine got the green light to continue their testing. One 4-year old stallion, Onedin (by Toto Jr x Metall) owned by Xanthos Horses, was presented to enter the testing, but did not pass.
The 9 participating 3-year old colts are:

- Pina Colada M (Governor out of Cinola M (by Dayano) - Owner: Rom Vermunt
- Patheon L.E. (Hermès out of Watradin (by San Remo) - Owner: Joop van Uytert & Anchor Excellent Horses
- Perle (Kjento out of Colinda (by Tuschinski) - Owner: Jelke en Linda Heida & Van Olst Horses
- Pitch Perfect (Le Formidable out of Florenca (by Vivaldi)) - Owner: Herman Veurink & Stal Laarakkers
- L’Avenir (Le Formidable out of Weihe’s Hope (by Sir Donnerhall I) - Owner: Saskia Poels & Karel Gerrits
- Pride (Secret out of Idol (by Apache) - Owner: H.G. Lang
- Prisco RS2 (Tørveslettens Sylvester out of Iveniz Texel (by Negro) - Owner: RS2 Dressage
- Pontiac VDT (Total US out of Velvet V.D.T (by Ferro) - Owner: Diederik van Silfhout
