The renowned Danish stallion station Blue Hors in Randbøl has purchased Gerald Grashorn's stable in Winkelsett, Germany, and is opening a German branch.
Blue Hors Germany has been aptly titled "Blue Hors Wohlde" referring to the street in Winkelsett where the new barn is located. The facility will station six stallions of the Blue Hors roster and with its EU-insemination center in Winkelsett, it will offer fresh semen to German, Austrian and Swiss clients, as well as other European countries.
The station will be managed by Jens and Susanne Meyer under the direction of Blue Hors breeding director Martin Klavsen.
Moving to Germany are Zackerey, Monte Carlo, Feinstar, Bondo, Glamourville and Bonfilio. However, the entire Blue Hors stallion roster is available as there is a special "courier service" set up to ship the semen across states.
Nanna Skodborg Merrald will be heading to Germany next week to compete Blue Hors Don Olymbrio and Blue Hors St. Schufro at the CDI Hagen "Horses & Dreams" competition at Hof Kasselmann on 19 - 23 April 2023.
