Following results and progress throughout this year’s campaign, the British Dressage U21 Selectors are delighted to release their updated short lists of riders in contention for team selection for the FEI Youth European Championships 2023.

Three changes to the current short list have been made. One at pony level and two at junior level.

Short listed pony rider Sofia Games (14) from Cheltenham, Gloucestershire was her second pony, Lauren Geraghty’s WS Jackson (chestnut gelding, 2011, Chiskin Jaguar x His Highness, AES), added to the short list alongside Steendieks Cadillac.

At junior level Sophie Wallace (16) from Stroud, Gloucestershire has been added to the team potential list with Ursula Bechtolsheimer and Laura Tomlinson’s First Light (grey gelding, 2016, Fürstenball, OLDBG).

Junior rider Mette Dahl saw her short listed horse  Cashmir (bay gelding, 2007, Sandro Hit, KWPN) removed from the list, but she stays on the list with her new acquisition, Fiona Bigwood’s Caporal de Massa (grey stallion, 2012, Rieto x Xaquiro, LUSIT).
