Danish Riders Picked for 2023 Nordic Baltic Championships

As the final Danish team selection for the European Youth Championships unfolds at the CDIO-PJYR Hagen this weekend, where Denmark's top youth pairs are competing, the Danish Equestrian Federation has named the riders that will compete at the 2023 Nordic Baltic Championships in Drammen (NOR) on 28 June - 2 July.

Depending on the dates of the European Youth Championships, the Nordic Baltic Championship either serves as a qualifier, or most often is the event that promising pairs are being sent to, who did not make the top tier for team selection. 

These are the pairs representing Denmark in Drammen

Pony Riders - Cat 1 (end size ponies)

  • Maya Leisted Grønbech - Giotto N
  • Ingeborg Elizabeth Schou - FS Calimero
  • Sofia Rosenkilde - Cosmo Royale
  • Hanna Walkusch - Jonkers' Jayden

Laura Qvist (Der Kleine Lord) and  Alberte Josefine Harsbo  (Walt V) will compete as individuals. Louise Byskov Eybye (Dream Of Cream) is the reserve.

Pony Riders - Cat 2 (smaller ponies)

  • Amalie Fredbøg - Spirit-Kick
  • Elia Pons Martinsen - Lykkehøjs Wildfire Of Dornik
  • Ida Bøllingtoft Asmussen - She Nett Hoejgaard
  • Miguel Schaldemose Larsen - Magic Moment

Sofie L. B. Thomsen (Milky Way) and Emma Sofia Elsass (Traeumer) will compete as individuals. Signe Just Gravesen (Groves George of the jungle) is the reserve

Under 25

  • Amalie Aasted Albæk - Gørklintgårds Quantico
  • Laura J. Rasmussen - Hjorths Rapsody in Blue
  • Sandra Hyrm - Cavanillas-W
  • Victoria Bonefeld Dahl - Bolero

Sofie Amalie Kjærgaard Wettendorf (Hacker) and Sophia Obel (Foldagers Chablis) will compete as individuals and Malene Aborg (Quantico Nexen) is the reserve.

Seniors

  • Andreas Emil Larsen - Lillesø’s Sezoo
  • Karoline Louise Skøt - Zamir
  • Maja Petersen - Højgårds Rolex
  • Michala Damm-Frydenberg - Laissez-Faire E

Stinna Skov-Foldberg (Foldbergs Little Treasure) and Kenneth Damgaard (Uno Day Son) will compete as individuals;  Michala Damm-Frydenberg (Thyfon Holmklit) is the reserve.
