The 2023 CDIO Aachen are gearing up to be a fabulous dress rehearsal event for the 2023 European Championships in Riesenbeck, Germany. For many countries, Aachen is a key team selection trials and most countries send their best.
After dressage nations - such as Germany, Denmark, U.S.A, Spain, France and The Netherlands - have already announced their teams for the FEI Nations' Cup, Great Britain now follows suit.
Clash of the Titans?
The most anticipated question whether a clash of the titans would finally take place - Glamourdale vs Dalera - has now been answered. It will not ! Team Van Olst is saving that moment for Riesenbeck.
However, Great Britain is fielding their former double Olympic champion, Charlotte Dujardin on her number one Imhotep, while Fry will ride her 2021 Olympic mount Everdale.
Young rider Annabella Pidgley is also on the team, not with her higher scoring Gio, who last competed internationally in March, but she has been selected with Vamos Amigos, which she took to the CDIO Compiegne and Wellington Heckfield.

Great Britain, Partner Country
This year's event sees Great Britain take centre stage as the official partner country of the 2023 CHIO Aachen.
Great Britain will not only shape the Opening Ceremony, with Her Royal Highness The Princess Royal in attendance, but also the entire show days of the CHIO Aachen with special performances from the Household Cavalry and Lottie Fry - who will perform to the live sounds of the Aachen Symphony Orchestra at the “Horse & Symphony” concerts. Beyond this, the typical British flair will be noticeable all over the show grounds as well as in the city itself: the traditional reception for the partner country will take place at the market square in Aachen on Monday 26 June.
