The Colombian equestrian federation has announced the team that will represent Colombia at the 2023 Pan American Games in Santiago, Chile on 20 - 25 October 2023.
Coached by team trainer Albrecht Heidemann (CAN), the Colombian team will include:
- Andrea Vargas - Homerus P
- Juliana Gutiérrez - Flanissimo
- María Alejandra Aponte - Lord of the Dance
- Santiago Cardona - Dostojewski
The reserve rider is Mariana Atehortúa on Justify.
The Colombian team recently won gold at the 2023 Central American and Caribbean Games in Santo Domingo (DOM). Only two combination of that team is included on the Pan Am team (Gutierrez and Vargas, although the latter was initially announced to ride a different horse). The two other team members (Aponte and Cardona) are new.
