Virginia Spönle's Italian team pony Coer Noble has been sold to an aspiring German FEI pony rider. The palomino stallion moved to Semmieke Rothenberger's yard in Bad Homburg, where she will coach the new pair.
Coer Noble is a 10-year old German Riding Pony stallion by Caramel out of Whoopy (by Noir de Luxe x Champion de Luxe). He is bred by Angelika Löwer.
Licensed Stallion
The refined buckskin stallion was licensed at the Hanoverian pony stallion licening in Verden in October 2015 and approved for Westfalen and Rhineland, as well as the other major German studbooks.
He did his 1-day stallion performance test in January 2018 in Warendorf and later on obtained his full licensing through sport.
As a breeding stallion, the buckskin has sired already six licensed sons and two state premium daughters.
Bundeschampionate Medalist
He was first competed as a 4-year old by Lisa Küntzler, followed by Nazila Natasha Lotz, who won the 2017 Bundeschampionate on him.
The stallion sold to German Frank Spönle and his Italian wife Elisa Grassi for their daughter Virginia to ride.
The 11-year old Virginia made her show debut with Coer Noble at a local German show in March 2018, coached by Jana Freund. Spönle shared the ride with Janine Driessen for a whole as the pony was trained up the levels. In 2018 Virginia and Coer Noble finished fourth at the Bundeschampionate. In 2019 they returned to Warendorf to pick up the bronze medal in the 6-year old division.
Italian Team Pony
The duo made its international show debut in 2021 at the CDI Opglabbeek in Belgium and from there competed at CDI's in Grote Brogel and Hagen to go to their first European Pony Championship in Strzegom, representing Poland. They led Italy to a historic fourth place in the nations' ranking and finished 11th with 75.620% in the Kur to Music finals.
In 2022 they began the years by switching trainers from Jana Freund to Niklaas Feilzer. The pair campaigned in Opglabbeek, Kronenberg and Hagen, before heading to their second European Championships in Strzego, where they were 9th in the Kur Finals with 75.400%. In 2023 they rode at CDI's in Sint-Truiden, Tolbert and Hagen before going to their third, consecutive European Championships, this time in Le Mans, where they were 12th in the Kur Finals. Italy was 6th.
Sold as Schoolmaster
With Virginia having reached the age limit, Coer Noble was put for sale and found a new home in Bad Homburg. The 9-year old Luisa will be learning from Coer Noble as her schoolmaster.
