Former Dutch Team Pony Vinkenhove Xander Moves to France

The 2021 Dutch European Championship Team pony Vinkenhove Xander has moved to France. He will continue his sport career under Charlotte Pons.

Vinkenhove Xander is 12-year old Belgian bred Welsh pony by Orchard Boginov out of Vinkenhove Janice (by Pioniers Baltazar x Bokkesprong Czardas). He bred by Patrick Boone.

Veerle van Hof

Owner by Romy Bemelmans and the Van Hof family, Xander was trained and competed by Veerle van Hof.  In 2018 they were Dutch Regional Indoor Champions at B-level and in 2019 at L2 level Indoor and M1 level Outdoor. In 2010 they were Limburg Regional champions at M2 level. The pony was named "Belgian Welsh Studbook Sport Pony of the Year 2019."

The pair made his international show debut in 2021 at the CDI Exloo. The pair competed at one more CDI, in Grote Brogel, before being nominated on the Dutch team for the 2021 European Pony Championships in Strzegom, where they finished 13th in the Kur to Music finals. 

Van Hof competed Xander through 2022 with CDI starts in Exloo and Aachen, but didn't make it back on the team. They were named first reserve. The 2022 CDI Aachen Indoor was Van Hof's last international in her career so far

France

According to Dressprod, Vinkenhove Xander has now moved to the rising 14-year old Charlotte Pons. They have leased the pony.

Pons has been competing pony Dinky Toy van het Bloemenhof (by Champion de Luxe x Don't Worry) at international pony level and Fireball CE (by Furstenball x Flemmingh) at international children's level.
