Brancusi, a Trakehner gelding who has briefly been competed internationally by Beatrice Hoffrogge, has moved to Austria. The bay gelding will continue his sport career under Austrian team rider Florian Bacher.

Brancusi is a 14-year old Trakehner by Kaiserdom out of Baranya (by Cupric xx x Consul x Anduc). He is bred and owned by Roland Mittermayer.

Monika Mittermayer

The bay gelding was first competed by Monika Mittermayer as a 3-year old in 2012.  They won the Trakehner Championships in the 3-year old division that summer.

Monika produced him up the levels, reclaimed the title at the 2013 Trakehner Championships and this time made it to the Bundeschampionate, where they scored silver.

By 2015 she had the gelding at M-level and tried for the German team for the World Young Horse Championships, but were named third reserve. In 2018 she rode him in his first S-level test.
