So Secret, the young horse which Jessica Michel-Botton rode at the 2023 World Young Horse Championships, has been sold to the U.S.A. The Hanoverian will be a junior rider hopeful Avonlea Wang.

So Secret is a rising 6-year old Hanoverian by Secret out of Hole In One (by Hohenstein x Ordensglanz). He is bred by Peter Bösch in Germany.

So Secret sold as a 2-year old at the 2020 Hanoverian Auction in Verden for 52,000 euro to French professional dressage rider Claudia Chauchard and French young horse professional and 2012 French Olympian Jessica Michel-Botton. They selected the horse off a video.

Jessica got the ride and the pair won silver at the 2022 French Young Horse Championships in Saumur. In 2023 they were selected to represent France at the World Championships for young dressage horses in Verden, where they were 14th in the consolation finals for 5-year olds with 79.200 points. Later that summer they won bronze at the 2023 French Young Horse Championships in Fontainebleau.

Avonlea Wang

So Secret has now been sold to the U.S.A.

"It is with the shared spirit between the success of our project and our torn hearts that we announce that So Secret, aka 'Sisi' for intimates, arrived safely several days ago in the United States near its new owners. Secret was chosen for a young rider of 14 years old and will be trained and trained by her professional rider coach!"

The horse sold to the Wang family (Leo and Angela) for daughter Avonlea Wang to ride. The junior rider is trained by 28-year old U.S. eventing rider Megan McIver, who will first take over the ride and develop the horse further.

Avonlea began competing in 2019 at Twin Rivers Ranch at intro level with Bella Mia Apache, followed by Mr Fernhill (2020) and Black Gold, Once Upon a Dream, and Disco Traveler (2021). She is now developing a keen interest in dressage sport and So Secret is her new partner for the future.
