Devin Franco GJ, the winner of the 2024 Swedish warmblood stallion performance test, has been sold to Antonia Ax:son Johnson's Lovsta Stuteri.
Devin Franco GJ is a 2020 born SWB stallion by Vivino out of Sweet Dreams GJ (by Bon Coeur). He is bred by Gustaf Johansson.
High Scorer
Devin Franco was licensed in 2023 and already was a high scorer in the 3-year old performance test. This year as a 4-year old he did the testing to get his lifetime licensing and was again the top scorer.
He covered 70 mares in 2023.
The colt has been trained by Swedish 2012 Olympian Minna Telde and was owned by the breeder.
Sold to Lovsta
Antonia Ax:son Johnson acquired the young stallion, whose dressage future will most likely be in the care of Tinne Vilhelmson and her assistent Caroline Darcourt.
Breeder Johansson is thrilled. "I am very happy that it was Lövsta Stuteri that bought my Devin Franco. That way, he stays in Sweden and can be used by the Swedish mare owners and he also gets the best possible match and care," he said.
"We think it will benefit Swedish breeding with a stallion in the slightly smaller size, but which still has everything you look for in a top stallion," said Malin Cohlin, Station Manager at Lövsta.
